A man has been taken into custody on suspicion of murder following the demise of a woman in Barnsley. The 56-year-old woman was discovered unresponsive at a property on Summer Lane, Wombwell, on Tuesday, and was later confirmed to be deceased. South Yorkshire Police announced that a 58-year-old man was arrested in connection with the suspected murder and is currently being held in custody.
