Man Arrested Following Woman’s Death

Authorities have apprehended a man on suspicion of murder following the discovery of a deceased woman at a residential property. Merseyside Police reported that emergency personnel located the woman, who was in her 30s, at an address on St Mary’s Grove in Walton Village, Liverpool, earlier. The police force indicated that they are presently investigating her death as unexplained. A 47-year-old male, identified as being from Walton Village, is currently in custody and has been transported to a police station for interrogation. Detective Chief Inspector Andy McCourt stated: “These are the early stages of our investigation and we are looking to establish the circumstances into what we are treating as an unexplained death at the current time.” He added that “The victim’s family are being supported by specialist officers as these enquiries continue.” Det Ch Insp McCourt urged anyone possessing relevant information to contact the force.
