Everton’s James Tarkowski Commends Manager’s Role in Team Development

Regarding their latest fixture, Tarkowski commented, “We had a tough game away at Arsenal last week but today I thought we would get chances, and in the second-half we did.” He also noted the team’s defensive solidity, stating, “Another clean sheet on the board and we are building at the minute. We are stopping the top teams from scoring against us.” Tarkowski expressed pride in the team’s effort against a strong opponent, adding, “I’m proud of the way we worked today, against a top side, so it’s a good point. They have got some good players, especially Cole Palmer, who we kept quiet.” He attributed the team’s progress to the current leadership, concluding, “Under this manager, we have built something special. Defensively, we have been good under the period that he has been here.”
