De Bruyne Discusses Difficult Period, Guardiola Highlights Midfielder’s “Incredible Influence”

Manchester City midfielder Kevin de Bruyne spoke to Amazon Prime following the team’s 3-0 triumph over Nottingham Forest. He commented on the recent challenges, stating: “It’s been a tough time. We have to accept the challenge and I think we did well today.” De Bruyne further elaborated on the demanding nature of the current season, adding: “It’s been a hard period but we have to accept the challenge. The Premier League is getting harder and harder and every team is tough to play.” He also acknowledged the league’s competitiveness, noting: “Everybody is taking points off everybody. We have to improve. First we have to try to win games and we’ll see in a couple of months where we are.” Regarding De Bruyne’s performance, City manager Pep Guardiola offered his assessment: “He was excellent, especially in the first half and even the second, he was really, really good.” Guardiola underscored the player’s significance, remarking: “The presence he has is so important.
