Watford’s Cleverley Believes Squad Has More to Offer

Despite Watford’s strong performance, including an unbeaten home record this Championship season—making them one of only four sides to achieve this—and securing three wins in their last four league matches, manager Tom Cleverley asserts that his squad still has more to offer. The Hornets’ recent 1-0 triumph against Oxford last Friday marked their sixth home victory at Vicarage Road this season, positioning them in sixth place in the league standings. Speaking to BBC Three Counties Radio, Cleverley stated, “I think the exciting part is we’ve not hit close to top gear yet – we’ve not hit consistency in first halves and we’ve not found consistency away from home.” He added, “The players are working as hard as they can to fulfil the potential I think the squad has and it’s my job to stay on top of that.” Following the upcoming international break, Watford is scheduled to play their next match away against Plymouth.
