Woman Dies Following Collision Between HGV and Car

A woman has passed away subsequent to a collision involving a heavy goods vehicle (HGV) and a car. The crash took place on Monday, just before midday, on the A534 Haslington Bypass, in the vicinity of Wheelock Hall Farm, Sandbach, Cheshire. Police indicated that the incident involved a white HGV tractor unit and a silver Vauxhall Crossland, with the driver of the car, a woman from Sandbach, suffering serious injuries. She was transported to the hospital, but later died. Police stated that investigations are continuing and requested that anyone who observed the crash or has dash-cam footage should reach out to them. “The A534 is an extremely busy road and as part of our investigation we are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed what took place,” Det Sgt Simon Degg said.
