Police have identified a man who died after sustaining severe head injuries in Lincoln. The body of Eddie Roberts, 55, was discovered on Carholme Road shortly after 23:00 GMT on Sunday. A 37-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in police custody. Lincolnshire Police stated that Mr Roberts’ family has been notified and is being supported by specially trained officers. Investigators believe Mr Roberts was walking from the Queen In The West pub on Moor Street towards Carholme Road, but his exact route is unknown. The force is appealing to residents in the West End area of the city to review any CCTV, doorbell, or mobile phone footage for images of the victim walking or interacting with someone. In a separate line of inquiry, officers are requesting that anyone with dashcam footage who was travelling along the A57 in the Saxilby area check their recordings for a white L-reg Mercedes X-Class pickup truck heading in the Lincoln direction. They are also keen to locate any footage of this vehicle in the Carholme Road vicinity.
