Rotherham United assistant manager Paul Raynor has been issued a two-game touchline ban and a £900 fine by the Football Association. Raynor had rejoined Rotherham in April as assistant manager, serving under Steve Evans. The allegations against him stated that he acted improperly and/or directed abusive and/or insulting language towards a match official within the changing room area, following the team’s home loss to Wrexham last month. Although Raynor contested the charge, an independent regulatory committee ultimately determined it to be proven. The 58-year-old will be required to observe from the stands during the upcoming League One fixture at Barnsley and the EFL Trophy match away to Bradford.
