A woman has died following a three-vehicle collision that led to the closure of a section of a dual carriageway in Nottinghamshire. Emergency services were summoned to the incident, which involved two cars and a van, on the A46 near Screveton at approximately 22:30 GMT on Saturday. Police confirmed that the 49-year-old woman was pronounced deceased at the scene of the crash. The southbound carriageway remained closed for investigations, but this restriction was lifted shortly before 15:00 on Sunday. Officers stated their desire to hear from anyone who could provide assistance with information or possessed relevant dashcam footage. They also extended their thanks to motorists for their patience during the periods when road closures were in effect. To stay updated, follow BBC Nottingham on Facebook, X, or Instagram.
