Three vehicles ignited while stationary outside a B&M store. The West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service reported that the incident, which occurred on Monday at a retail park in Featherstone, near Wakefield, began with one car catching fire before the flames extended to two other vehicles. No injuries were sustained, but two fire crews from Wakefield and Normanton were dispatched to put out the fire. An individual who witnessed the event while shopping indicated that the adjacent side of the discount store’s premises also sustained damage. The West Yorkshire Fire Service said: “We were called at 14.35 BST yesterday to a retail park on Wakefield Road to reports of a car on fire.”Two crews attended, from Wakefield and Normanton.”The fire had spread to three cars in the vicinity and firefighters used breathing apparatus and hose reels to extinguish it.”
