The Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) has reported that two officers sustained injuries on Monday after a car “deliberately” reversed into a police vehicle in County Armagh. The incident occurred on the Monaghan Road, Middletown, at approximately 14:40 GMT. Authorities stated that officers had signaled the driver of a grey Audi A6 to stop; however, the vehicle then fled in the direction of Armagh, first colliding with a pillar before backing into the police vehicle twice. The injuries to the officers are not believed to be serious. The Audi, which was noted to have a smashed rear window, subsequently left the area. Police are appealing for any individuals who may have observed the grey Audi A6 in the vicinity to come forward.
