Barrow forward Andrew Dallas, who has scored four goals for the club during his loan spell from Barnsley, has stated that there is no “blame game” within their squad as their poor run of results persists. A recent defeat to AFC Wimbledon marked the sixth consecutive game without a win for the team, causing them to fall from third to 12th place in the league standings. This streak precedes a series of four League Two fixtures against teams currently positioned higher in the table. Stephen Clemence’s side is scheduled to travel to Chesterfield, who are one spot above them, on Saturday. This will be followed by an encounter with eighth-placed Bradford City at the beginning of December, before they host fifth-placed MK Dons and then play an away match at fourth-placed Walsall. “There is no turning our backs on each other, there is no blame game,” Dallas told BBC Radio Cumbria. “We’re all sticking together, we have good characters, good people in that dressing room.” Four of these six winless matches have taken place at the SO Legal Stadium, where Barrow conceded goals after the 76th minute in all of them. Dallas believes Barrow needs to re-establish the more robust defensive approach they exhibited last season and earlier in the current campaign. “We need to start killing teams off and make this a bit of a fortress again,” he added. “It was a big part of last season in terms of the clean sheets. We need to get back to basics in terms of that.”
