A collision in Devon has led to the deaths of two men, authorities have announced. Devon and Cornwall Police stated that the single vehicle incident, which involved a blue MG ZS, took place on the B3260 in Okehampton at approximately 03:15 GMT on Tuesday. A 20-year-old man from Kingsteignton was pronounced deceased at the scene, while an 18-year-old man from Chagford was pronounced dead while travelling to Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital. The driver of the vehicle, a 20-year-old man also from Chagford, was arrested on suspicion of driving whilst unfit through drink or drugs and causing death by dangerous driving. He sustained injuries that were not deemed life-threatening or life-changing. Emergency services, including police, fire, and ambulance personnel, responded to the location and implemented a road closure. The B3260 was closed to allow roads policing officers and forensic collision investigators to carry out an investigation. Ch Insp Dean Drury remarked: “Our thoughts continue to be with everybody affected by this tragic collision.” He added: “We are working hard to investigate the circumstances surrounding the collision and provide support for those who require it.”
