Glasgow Warriors’ head coach, Franco Smith, informed BBC Scotland that “Everybody that follows us can be really proud.” He noted the team’s reliance on players who had seen limited game time this season, including young individuals, stating, “We used most of the boys who haven’t played this season, young guys. We had four hookers involved and helped us get it done.” Smith also highlighted the team’s effective defensive pressure late in the game, which pushed Scarlets back “five or six metres,” making Ioan Lloyd’s subsequent kick “a really tough goal [for Ioan Lloyd] into the wind.” He added, “The compliment sits with the fact we didn’t go offside and give a penalty away.” Smith commended the players’ “mentality… to not give up and wear their hearts on their sleeve.” He reiterated that while “tonight would not determine our season,” the team “grabbed the opportunity.” He viewed the close contest against “a full Scarlets team like that, that’s playing well, they are very well coached,” as “a compliment to them.” Regarding Adam Hastings, Smith reported that “The first signs [when Adam Hastings] came off the pitch looked positive; we’ll keep an eye on him.” Post navigation Hibs Secure Key Victory, Improve League Standing Elvis Smylie Claims Australian PGA Championship, Marking Second Professional Win
