Angus Gunn, the Norwich City goalkeeper who has played over 100 matches for the club, faces a misconduct charge from the Football Association (FA). This charge stems from an alleged incident that occurred on 7 December during Norwich’s Championship fixture against QPR. The player, a Scotland international, is accused of having “allegedly acted in an improper manner around the tunnel area at half-time” during the match, which Norwich City ultimately lost by a score of 3-0. Gunn has been given until Thursday, 19 December, to provide his response to the accusation. Notably, captain Kenny McLean is currently serving a four-match ban for violent conduct that took place in the identical game at Loftus Road. The 28-year-old, whose father Bryan Gunn also served Norwich as both a goalkeeper and manager, was sidelined for six games earlier this season due to a rib injury. Should he be found guilty, he could potentially receive a suspension. Norwich City has not secured a victory in their last three Championship fixtures, resulting in them falling eight points adrift of the play-off positions ahead of their upcoming match on Saturday against fourth-placed Sunderland.
