Authorities have taken a 55-year-old woman into custody on suspicion of murder, following the discovery of another woman with stab wounds at a residence in north London. Law enforcement officers responded to a call shortly before 17:00 GMT on Wednesday, concerning an unresponsive female at a home situated on Westerham Avenue in Edmonton. Emergency medical personnel present at the location reported that the 62-year-old victim sustained stab injuries, and despite efforts to resuscitate her, she passed away. The Met Police confirmed that her next of kin have been informed, and a post-mortem examination is set to be arranged. Investigators suspect that the deceased and the woman who was arrested had an acquaintance. Detective Chief Inspector Sarah Lee stated: “I would like to reassure local people that we are not seeking anyone else in connection with this incident.” She further commented that there was “no indication of any ongoing risk to public safety”. Detective Superintendent Marco Bardetti, who oversees local policing for Enfield and Haringey, expressed understanding that residents would be troubled by “this shocking loss of life”. He also mentioned: “There will be a heightened police presence in the area in the coming days to provide reassurance.” Post navigation Special Needs School Coach Imprisoned for Pupil Abuse Revealed by Investigation Driver Jailed for Causing Serious Injury by Dangerous Driving
