Nottingham Express Transit (NET) has announced upcoming planned maintenance activities scheduled for later this month, which are anticipated to impact the QMC and Beeston zones. Tram operations will be suspended between the University of Nottingham and Cator Lane stops, commencing at 16:00 GMT on 17 November and continuing for the remainder of that day. A regular tram service is slated to resume at all stops from 06:00 on 18 November, at which point the works are expected to be finished. According to NET, these works are intended to facilitate adjustments to the electricity wires within the overhead line equipment, thereby strengthening the network and mitigating the risk of technical failure. Consequently, service will not be available at Central College, Chilwell High Road, Beeston Centre, Middle Street, and University Boulevard. To minimize inconvenience, a replacement bus service will be provided; however, it will only pick up passengers from the University of Nottingham and Cator Lane tram stops, bypassing all intermediate stops. Furthermore, several road closures and traffic diversions will be implemented during the maintenance period. The Beeston Interchange, including all bus stops located within it, is among the areas that will be affected.
