A 15-year-old male was transported to a medical facility after sustaining a stab wound to his back while aboard a bus. He exited the crowded Stagecoach vehicle on Walton Hall Road in Liverpool around 17:35 GMT and was subsequently discovered nearby with injuries to his back. Merseyside Police announced efforts to locate two suspects, described as being entirely clad in black and wearing hoods, who also fled the vehicle in the direction of Queens Drive. Detective Chief Inspector Lynsay Armbruster characterized the event as “shocking” and urged bus passengers who might have witnessed the assault to contact law enforcement. DCI Armbruster stated that the attack “started with an altercation” involving the three individuals. She affirmed, “The community will rightly be concerned by this incident, but please be assured that we are taking this extremely seriously.” She added, “The bus would have been busy with other passengers, who will also be alarmed at witnessing what happened.” DCI Armbruster encouraged anyone possessing information, including local residents or individuals who may have driven past and observed something, to reach out to the police force. She emphasized that there is “no place” for knives in the local community and on Merseyside “we sadly know the consequences of people carrying these weapons”. The boy’s condition was reported as “serious but stable”.
