Police have reported that a man was transported to a hospital in Plymouth after sustaining an injury described as “shot to the chest by an air rifle.” According to Devon and Cornwall Police, the event occurred on North Hill around 05:45 GMT on Tuesday. A spokesperson for the force confirmed that armed response units were dispatched to the location, which was subsequently cordoned off from public access. The spokesperson further stated that while the victim was hospitalized, his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing. Devon and Cornwall Police indicated that investigations are continuing in an effort to find the individual responsible.
