Hearts head coach Eva Olid shared her reflections on the team’s 0-1 loss to Hibernian, suggesting that a draw would have been a fairer outcome for what she described as “not a good game of football.” Olid stated, “We didn’t deserve to win, but probably didn’t deserve to lose either, it was a draw game. It was not a good game of football.” She acknowledged her team’s ball possession but noted that their opponents created more scoring opportunities, adding, “We had the possession but they had more chances. We committed mistakes we don’t usually commit.” Olid also observed a sense of unease among her players, commenting, “I had confidence that mentally we were ready, but from the first minute I thought we looked nervous. We coped at Easter Road well, with no pressure but today it looked like we had pressure.” Hibernian head coach Grant Scott expressed his satisfaction following his side’s 1-0 victory. Scott revealed that he had challenged his players before the match, telling them, “I put a bit of pressure on the girls today by saying to them, ‘look at the results elsewhere you know a three point victory puts us in the mix’.” He elaborated, “We said that at the start of the game before we came out and the girls have taken that on. They’ve handled the pressure and they’ve won the game, so I’m delighted with them.” Scott concluded by expressing his hope that the team would gain confidence from such performances, stating, “I just hope we take confidence from results and performances like this where we’ve had to dig deep and manage the game late, get the winner late and see it through.”
