Two individuals have been apprehended following the discovery of cocaine with an estimated street value of £400,000 in a Staffordshire town. Staffordshire Police reported that officers intercepted a black Mercedes in the Aldi car park, located off Ventura Park Road in Tamworth, at approximately 13:20 GMT on Tuesday. After a snap bag of cocaine and a burner phone were found, a subsequent search of an address in Bolehall led to the seizure of 4kg (8.8 lb) of the class A drug, along with a small quantity of cannabis. A 29-year-old man and a 34-year-old woman are currently being held on suspicion of possession with intent to supply cocaine, and suspicion of cannabis possession. The man is also suspected of driving without a licence and driving without insurance. The woman was additionally arrested on suspicion of permitting the use of a vehicle without insurance.
