A leading tourism official has stated that a London trade exhibition represents “a great way of elevating the brand of Jersey.” Tricia Warwick, the CEO of Visit Jersey, is scheduled to deliver a speech on the influence of television and cinema on tourism at the yearly World Travel Market event. This exhibition attracts thousands of professionals from the industry globally. Mrs. Warwick intends to discuss the potential advantages for island tourism, following the partial filming of a Bergerac TV show reboot in Jersey during August. Mrs. Warwick remarked, “We have a stand there, we are hosting a breakfast to entertain our key customers and I’m speaking on a panel talking about set-jetting, obviously referencing the work we are doing with Bergerac.” She further added, “It’s a great way of elevating the brand of Jersey as you get a lot of industry insight to be able to promote Jersey in its best light.” The Bergerac reboot is expected to be broadcast in early 2025.
