An inquest has been informed that a man, whose remains were discovered in Douglas Harbour following a missing person report, died as a result of drowning. Lee Scott’s body was retrieved from the water by divers on November 13, subsequent to a five-day search operation. During the inquest held at Douglas Courthouse, it was revealed that the fisherman, a resident of the island’s capital, was last observed on CCTV footage in the vicinity of the harbour on November 8. Coroner James Brooks conveyed his sympathies to Mr Scott’s family while adjourning the proceedings to allow for ongoing investigations.
