Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta might have defenders Gabriel and Riccardo Calafiori available for selection for the upcoming match against Fulham on Sunday, scheduled for 14:00 GMT. Both players were absent from the recent victory against Manchester United due to injuries. Gabriel, who has demonstrated strong scoring ability for the Gunners, had raised concerns about his absence from set-pieces; however, these worries proved unnecessary as Jurrien Timber and William Saliba each scored from corners, contributing to a decisive win over Ruben Amorim’s team. Last season, Fulham secured a victory against the Gunners, a result that significantly hindered Arsenal’s aspirations for the title. Consequently, Arteta is exercising caution in anticipation of the upcoming fixture at Craven Cottage. He stated, “We want to have the right to win the games.” Arteta further added, “If we perform the way we are performing right now, we are going to win a lot of games.” He emphasized the immediate focus, saying, “But right now is about Fulham. We know the experience of last season. We have to prepare really well to earn the right to win there and continue to do that.” Concluding his remarks, he added, “The rest, we don’t know.”
