The annual illumination of Lincoln’s Christmas lights is set to inaugurate the city’s seasonal events. The switch-on is scheduled for Thursday, preceding late-night shopping opportunities and an ice sculpture trail. The City of Lincoln Council previously allocated £140,000 for lights and illuminations last year, which will adorn the entire city throughout the festive period. BBC Lincolnshire presenters Scott Dalton and Richard Stead are also slated to attend the occasion. The celebrations are scheduled to commence at 16:30 GMT on Lincoln’s high street, featuring a DJ set by Ross Carrick, followed by various performances.
