A fuel station has ceased operations following a vehicle’s impact with a petrol pump. According to emergency services, the Jet garage, located on Catterick Road in Colburn, North Yorkshire, is expected to remain closed “for some time” subsequent to the earlier incident. The collision, involving a Land Rover Discovery, resulted in the destruction of a petrol pump and damage to a Jaguar vehicle. Individuals requiring medical attention have been transported to a hospital. The North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service reported: “Staff were quick in acting and isolated the fuel pumps straight away.” A spokesperson further stated: “Crews made the scene safe with foam covering jet and sand was used to cover fuel across the forecourt.” The service indicated that personnel would depart once the vehicles were removed.
