Investigation Underway into Bus Stop Sexual Assault in Ipswich

Law enforcement officials are currently investigating an alleged sexual assault that occurred at a bus stop. A woman, aged in her 30s, informed authorities that she was approached by a male individual around 04:00 GMT on Sunday on Nacton Road in Ipswich. The incident, involving a sexual assault, reportedly took place at a bus stop situated close to Clapgate Lane. Suffolk Police has issued an appeal for individuals possessing any relevant information, or dashcam, doorbell camera, or CCTV footage, to come forward and contact them. The police force further stated that there will be an enhanced police presence deployed in the vicinity. Det Insp Brett Harris commented: “We understand the concern this incident will raise but we want to reassure the public that we are investigating all lines of inquiry to ensure we can find those responsible.”
