Jay Fulton, a midfielder for Swansea City, is set to make his return for the Championship fixture against Leeds United on Sunday. He has recovered from a calf injury that caused him to miss the team’s previous three matches. According to Luke Williams, the 30-year-old player appears “very sharp” as Swansea City prepares to resume play following the international break. Nevertheless, Eom Ji-Sung, Sam Parker, Andy Fisher, Ollie Cooper, and Josh Ginnelly are still unavailable for selection. South Korea international Eom Ji-Sung might rejoin full training next week, having sustained a knee injury last month while representing his country. Additionally, young player Sam Parker, who has not featured this season, is nearing a return to full training following persistent hamstring problems. This week brought positive updates regarding winger Josh Ginnelly, who commenced light training on the pitch at Swansea’s Fairwood training facility. The 27-year-old winger, Ginnelly, has been out of action since September 2023 due to a ruptured Achilles tendon. “We are getting there again with Josh,” Williams stated. “We have to be very careful and we need him to be very careful about everything he does away from the training pitch, because his body is not used to training fully because of the amount of time he has been away.” He added, “It’s a step forward. It’s the stage he was at before his last setback so we are optimistic now that we are going to crack it, and we are excited to see him on the pitch.”
