Law enforcement authorities are seeking witnesses following a reported break-in and vehicle theft that occurred at a residence in Devon. The Devon and Cornwall Police force is conducting an inquiry into the event, which took place at a property located on Macauley Crescent in Plymouth on Monday. According to officers, three young males were observed on the street attempting to open doors of both houses and vehicles before forcibly entering a dwelling. The police stated that the perpetrators acquired keys from the premises to abscond with a black Audi A3 and made an effort to steal an Audi A4, but departed the location in the A3 after being confronted by the owner. Investigators suspect the same individuals had also been testing door handles in adjacent streets, specifically Conrad Road and Dryden Avenue. Detective Constable Nathan Drew stated: “We are appealing to residents to check their CCTV, dashcam and doorbell footage in case they captured images of the males, who may have tried more door handles than we are currently aware of. If anyone knows the whereabouts of the stolen Audi A3, with the number plate of EG12XAN or has any information about this matter, we urge them to contact us.”
