A call for donations has been initiated in Wolverhampton to provide Christmas gifts for young individuals transitioning out of care. The local authority stated that the council’s Reach Leaving Care team offers support to more than 400 young people across the city. Councillor Jacqui Coogan, the cabinet member for children, young people and education, conveyed that both monetary contributions and tangible presents would be highly valued by these young people. The appeal has put forward suggestions for donations, which include toiletries, pens, journals, hats, scarves, charging cables, and power banks.
