Hampshire Hawks have announced that Pakistan men’s Test captain, Shan Masood, will be joining their squad for the upcoming Global Super League. Masood recently led Pakistan to a 2-1 Test series victory against England in October, where he scored a century in the opening match. He has also earned 19 caps for Pakistan in IT20 cricket. Previously, Hampshire confirmed that club captain James Vince would not participate in the tournament, with Chris Wood set to captain the team. The Global Super League is reportedly offering a prize pot of $1 million (£764,000) and is scheduled to be held in Guyana, South America. Hampshire’s Global Super League campaign is slated to commence on 27 November, with their first match against Bangladesh’s Rangpur Riders. Other teams participating in the tournament include Pakistan’s Lahore Qalandars, Guyana’s Amazon Warriors, and Australia’s Victoria.
