Law enforcement officials are reissuing a call for public assistance concerning a rape that occurred a year ago within the remnants of an ancient manor house. The assault involved a woman, aged in her thirties, who was assailed by a male individual on the premises of Minster Lovell Hall in Oxfordshire. This incident took place on October 28, 2023, sometime between 8:20 PM and 10:00 PM BST. Authorities are particularly interested in locating two or three men, identified as white and appearing to be in their late teens to early twenties, who approached the perpetrator during the incident. Following the assault, a man was apprehended on suspicion of rape but was subsequently released while the investigation continues. Detective Constable Charlotte Norman, the officer leading the inquiry, stated: “Despite happening a year ago, we are still investigating this distressing rape as we are determined to get justice for the victim.” She added: “I am specifically trying to identify the two or three young males that interrupted the offender so if this was you or you know who they were, please come forward.” Norman further urged: “I am appealing for anyone with information, no matter how small, to come forward.” For updates, BBC Oxfordshire can be followed on Facebook, X (Twitter), or Instagram.
