Severe gales are anticipated to lead to interruptions in ferry services operating between the Isle of Man and Lancashire. The Isle of Man Steam Packet Company announced the cancellation of the 19:45 GMT sailing of the Manxman vessel bound for Heysham Port, along with its scheduled return journey overnight. Additionally, the Sunday morning departure to Belfast has been delayed by 11 hours, now scheduled for 18:00. Its subsequent return trip to Douglas is now slated for a 01:00 departure on Monday. A yellow weather alert, indicating severe gales, is active for Sunday, spanning from 03:00 to 23:00. The Ronaldsway Met Office issued a caution that the island is expected to experience wind gusts reaching up to 65mph (105km/h), accompanied by periods of heavy rainfall.
