Nicky Cadden stated that David Gray “doesn’t deserve this” pressure or the performance Hibs displayed yesterday. The club suffered another loss in the Scottish Premiership on Saturday, this time to St Mirren. Cadden initially thought he had secured a draw with a late double, but his second goal was disallowed after striking the arm of an offside Dwight Gayle. Speaking to BBC Scotland, Cadden confessed, “I’m not to sure [how to explain the performance] if I’m honest.” He further commented on the team’s predicament, saying, “It’s simply not good enough. We find ourselves in a position and need to regroup and take it to the next game and hopefully we can change it.” Cadden expressed his strong backing for Gray, remarking, “He doesn’t deserve this. Since I came here to the club he has been really good with me. He is really good guy and a good person.” He continued to articulate his inability to comprehend the team’s current run of form, adding, “I don’t know and can’t explain the form. He certainly doesn’t deserve this or that performance.” Cadden underscored the necessity for team unity, stating, “We just need to stick together and be together as a team and try to get out of this rut. Ultimately, we need to put in better performances as we know it’s not good enough. We need to scrap for three points, fight for three points.” He concluded by highlighting the challenge of winning football matches and the team’s desire to play for their manager: “It’s hard to win a game of football so we need to try and change it show and this gaffer we want to play for his football club.” Post navigation Chris Sutton Discusses Rashford and Garnacho’s Omission from Manchester United Squad Continued Tenure of Gary O’Neil at Wolves Could Intensify Scrutiny on Club Leadership
