Bristol City’s head coach, Liam Manning, stated that his players must draw lessons from their recent late-game breakdown against Sheffield United, an event that concluded their eight-match unbeaten streak. The Robins allowed two goals in the final stages of the match, leading to a 2-1 defeat at Ashton Gate. Speaking to BBC Radio Bristol, Manning remarked, “It feels like we lost it rather than they won it.” He further elaborated, “There were so many good aspects and you can’t knock the lads work rate or desire to compete but it’s how you manage those high pressure situations and we didn’t do that.” City had established a lead via Anis Mehmeti’s penalty in the 75th minute, but ultimately lost due to Harrison’s Burrows’ goal, which was scored in the eighth minute of injury time. Manning asserted, “You have to stay calm, stay composed and make clinical decisions to see out the game.” He added, “The lads are devastated and gutted but it’s one game and we have to move on.” Concluding his remarks, he stated, “We’ve shown we can compete with anybody yet again and that’s what we have to take away from it and bounce back on Saturday.” Post navigation Truro City’s FA Trophy Exit Marked by Manager Askey’s Frustration with Referee Adams Expresses Confidence in Derby’s Competitive Spirit After Burnley Draw
