A 12-year-old boy has been taken into custody in connection with a robbery that occurred in Salisbury city centre. Wiltshire Police stated the incident took place on Monday at approximately 16:00 GMT, outside the McDonald’s restaurant situated on Winchester Street. The police force reported that a suspect, who was known to them, “pinned someone against a pillar and stole cash from their pockets.” A spokesperson for the force added, “There were a lot of people in the area when this incident took place and we believe part of it may have been recorded on a mobile phone.” Officers have called upon anyone possessing phone footage or information pertinent to the incident to come forward. The 12-year-old remains released on bail while further inquiries are conducted.
