Former Scotland international striker Lee Miller has expressed his conviction that Aberdeen will achieve a second-place finish in the Scottish Premiership this season, notwithstanding their recent streak without a victory. Currently, “The Dons” trail league leaders Celtic by seven points and hold a four-point advantage over third-placed Rangers. It is noted that both Celtic and Rangers have a game in hand over Jimmy Thelin’s squad. However, with Rangers’ ongoing participation in European competitions extending at least into early next year, Miller believes this presents an opportunity for Aberdeen to position themselves between the two dominant clubs. Explaining his reasoning on the BBC’s Scottish Football Podcast, Miller stated, “I think they will [finish second] only because Rangers are in Europe; I don’t think they’ve got a squad to cope with that.” He further elaborated on his prediction, adding, “I think they’ll have injuries and suspensions leading up to that and Aberdeen have a really good squad and they know what they’re all about. “I think they will grind it out and I think they will finish second.” Post navigation Jacob Bethell’s Performance Poses Selection Dilemma for England, Says Coach McCullum Mohamed Salah Reportedly Nearing New Liverpool Contract
