Tawanda Maswanhise was visibly delighted for a significant portion of Motherwell’s outstanding first-half display against St Johnstone, and his cheerful demeanor persisted after the match. Following his contribution of a goal and an assist within the initial 35 minutes, the Zimbabwe international is poised to join his national team for international duty with considerable confidence. “I’m really happy. I can’t stop smiling, a goal and an assist for myself and I’m buzzing for the result really,” he informed BBC Scotland. He further added, “Confidence is a big thing in my football journey so I’m just so happy and just keep smiling.” Maswanhise also commented on the team’s capabilities, stating, “I know the football we can play and obviously results matter in this league so as long as we keep going.” Looking ahead to the next fixture, he expressed, “We’ve got Ross County next and we know we can beat them, we are going to beat them, so I’m looking forward to getting another goal in the next league game.” The upcoming trip to Dingwall is scheduled for just under two weeks away, and in the period leading up to it, the 21-year-old player will join his national squad. Regarding the transition, he remarked, “Going away it’s a different environment and stuff, and then obviously coming back, you’ve got to adjust again so it shouldn’t be too much of a change, but I’m ready for Ross County, that’s my next focus.”
