Jonathan Taylor, the son of 86-year-old John Taylor, who has been missing since Tuesday morning and is described as vulnerable, has extended his thanks to the community for its support in the search efforts. John Taylor was last observed near Finham Brook at Abbey Fields, Kenilworth, just prior to 09:30 GMT. Speaking to BBC CWR, his son Jonathan Taylor expressed how profoundly moved he was by the town’s residents uniting in their efforts to find John. Mr Taylor remarked, “Volunteers [have been] offering their time, their thoughts, their support, in very adverse conditions – cold, wet, throughout the night. People have volunteered their time with drones… Everyone’s thinking of him, it’s been amazing.” Jonathan Taylor’s last interaction with his father took place on 27 November. He observed no unusual aspects in his father’s demeanor, stating he was “upbeat, funny, joking, talking about the football. Everything was as normal.” Warwickshire Police reported increasing concerns for the safety of the missing individual. Det Ch Insp Sutherland Lane commented, “He’s definitely in a slightly confused state, and that’s making it harder to track his whereabouts. He maybe wasn’t in his normal state of mind and this is… completely out of the ordinary for him.” The police force has deployed drones, dogs, and a helicopter in the search operation, and is requesting that anyone with dashcam footage from the Castle Road area on Tuesday make contact. Paul Miles, a family friend who has been assisting in coordinating the volunteer search, urged individuals in the Kenilworth area to inspect their gardens. He stated, “He’s not in the open. There have been lots of drones up, lots of helicopters. We have a strong feeling he’s either under something or in something, and that would lead you to a shed or a garage, an outhouse of some description.” Jonathan Taylor communicated that the entire family was desperate for news. He added, “If I could speak to him directly now, I’d ask him to please just reach out to someone nearby and ask for help. The whole town wants to help you.” “We just want our Pop back.” Post navigation One Fatality, One Serious Injury in A9 Inverness Crash Police and Crime Commissioner Explains Suspension of Acting Chief Constable
