A burst pipe has resulted in low water pressure or a complete lack of supply for residential and commercial properties. Thames Water confirmed on Thursday morning that repair work had commenced on the leaking pipe located in Islandsmead, Swindon, Wiltshire. The utility company stated that its engineers anticipate restoring water service within a three-hour timeframe. A spokesperson for Thames Water issued an apology for the interruption, stating: “We know how inconvenient it is if you lose your water supply, so we’ll work hard to get things back to normal as soon as we can.” The spokesperson further explained: “In order to safely and quickly carry out the repair our engineers have shut off water to the pipe.” They reiterated the inconvenience, adding: “We know how inconvenient this is, so we’ll work hard to get things back to normal as soon as we can.” BBC Wiltshire maintains a presence on Facebook, X, and Instagram.
