Chris Sutton is providing predictions for all 380 Premier League matches this season, engaging with various guests. For week 11, his guests are Mylee and Tate, characters from the CBBC football drama Jamie Johnson FC (JJFC), a series set within an elite academy at the fictional Premier League club Hawx United. Sutton’s forecast for the match is 3-1. Sutton noted that he faced considerable criticism last week for stating his support for Nottingham Forest, alongside clubs he previously played for, such as Norwich, Blackburn, and Celtic. He also acknowledged that regular BBC Radio 5 live listeners have accused him of considering Tottenham as another one of his favored teams. Sutton clarified that this is not the case, but he expressed no reservations about being an admirer of Spurs boss Ange Postecoglou and his expansive style of football. He described this approach as “crazy” at times due to the risks involved, yet stated his enjoyment in watching it. Sutton explained that his “Canaries connection” (referring to Norwich) ensures he would never be mistaken for an Ipswich fan, yet he admitted to feeling sympathy for them last week. He observed that Ipswich has briefly emerged from Norwich’s shadow to reach the Premier League and is actively seeking their first win of the season, but they were adversely affected by “a couple of shocking late decisions” during their draw with Leicester. Ipswich benefits from not participating in European football this week, a situation they have not encountered for over 20 years, while Tottenham competed against Galatasaray in Turkey on Thursday. Despite these factors, Sutton still anticipates a victory for Spurs, predicting that Ipswich will return to the Championship alongside Norwich next season. Mylee’s prediction is: “I don’t think Ipswich will keep Tottenham out. 3-1.” Tate’s prediction is: “As an Arsenal fan, I know what I want to happen! I didn’t want to put Tottenham winning, so I have gone for a draw. 0-0.”
