Firefighters have reported that the driver of an articulated truck, following a collision with a tree in Cornwall, sustained only minor injuries despite the extensive damage to the vehicle. The incident occurred on the A395 close to Launceston, where the cab’s mangled structure clearly indicated the force of the impact. Launceston Community Fire Station, which responded to the scene around 11:30 GMT, confirmed that the crash resulted in “significant damage and extensive debris on the road.” A spokesperson from the station added, “Luckily the driver walked away with minor injuries.” According to traffic monitoring service Inrix, the A395 was shut down in both directions, specifically between the Egloskerry turn-off and The Wilsey Down.
