Nathan Campbell, a 26-year-old groom from Frome featured on *Married at First Sight*, expressed his hope that his openness about living with ADHD has increased “awareness” among partners of individuals with neurodiversity conditions. Mr. Campbell, who wed Lacey Martin on the Channel 4 reality series, discussed his ADHD symptoms throughout their marriage, noting that these can manifest as inattentiveness, hyperactivity, or impulsivity, and frequently communicated to his spouse his difficulties with relationship communication. “It’s a hidden disability – I would say never judge a book by its cover, everyone deserves a chance,” he stated. Mr. Campbell informed the BBC that numerous social media messages have conveyed gratitude for his frankness. He also revealed previously unaired segments from the program, such as himself and Ms. Martin getting tattoos during their homestay. Commenting on the program’s editing, the engineer mentioned that many humorous scenes were omitted, leading to him appearing less “shy” than he actually is. He received his diagnosis of ADHD (attention deficit hyperactivity disorder) at the age of 11. Mr. Campbell remarked, “I love that the programme has brought awareness to this.” The 26-year-old further explained that the editing of the show caused the public to perceive him as significantly more reserved than his true personality. “I do look quite shy on camera but I’m a confident bloke,” he added. Emma Barnes, a resident of Bristol, was another participant in the identical series. She garnered media attention when her partner made a comment stating he was not attracted to “curvy” women, a remark for which he subsequently apologized and expressed “regret.” Post navigation Chris Packham Presents Festive Penguin Photography Exhibition Wynne Evans Exits Strictly Come Dancing
