Four individuals have been taken into custody in connection with a homicide investigation in Plymouth, as confirmed by police. Devon and Cornwall Police reported that a 36-year-old man passed away following a reported stabbing incident that occurred around 14:30 on Monday on Cambridge Road, located in the Ford area of the city. The force indicated that a 42-year-old man was apprehended on suspicion of murder, while three women, aged 27, 38, and 40, were arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit murder. Det Ch Insp Steve Fleetwood, the senior investigating officer, stated that it is believed the suspects were known to the victim, and an appeal for information remains active. Det Ch Insp Fleetwood further mentioned that all four arrests were carried out overnight, and all suspects are currently being held in police custody. He added that police cordons are scheduled to be lifted on Wednesday, but officers from the Major Crime Investigation Team will continue their inquiries. “The community will see an increased presence in the area throughout the day,” Det Ch Insp Fleetwood said. “I urge anyone with information which may assist our investigation to please report it to us.” Any witnesses or individuals possessing relevant dashcam, doorbell, or mobile phone footage related to the incident have been asked to contact police.
