Dejan Kulusevski is widely considered a pivotal player for Tottenham and has been identified as one of the most improved players in the Premier League this season. The 24-year-old forward contributed an assist for Brennan Johnson’s goal during Tottenham’s 2-2 home draw against Roma in the Europa League, bringing his season total to two goals and seven assists across 19 appearances. This performance is part of a broader picture, as the Swedish international ranks third in the Premier League for total distance covered, having run 130.4km. He trails only Bruno Guimaraes of Newcastle and Lewis Cook of Bournemouth, both of whom have started more matches than Kulusevski, who joined Tottenham from Juventus in 2022 for £37m. When questioned about his physical condition, including his speed and stamina, especially given his ranking in the top 10 for sprints in the league with 251, Kulusevski responded: “I do a lot. I eat very well, I drink a lot, I sleep as much as possible [and] I try not to stay on my phone. Everything that gives me energy – I do it. “Like you said, it is difficult every three days to play 90 minutes but I do as much as possible. I try to do a lot of recovery, including ice every day so it is a lot of things.” He further elaborated on his dedication, stating, “I have just one life, one career – I just want to maximise it as much as possible. When I am done with this, I will have no regrets. I am just giving everything I have now and we will see what it will take but I want to improve and see how far I can go.” Prior to the current 2024-25 season, Kulusevski primarily played in wide attacking roles. However, he has since transitioned to a central position and has performed exceptionally well there. When asked if he had requested a change in his role from manager Postecoglou, he replied: “The manager just put me there and I have played there before so it was no problem for me. It feels very good. I score and assist so from this position I am always dangerous. “He also expressed his ambition for both himself and his club: “I want to improve and I want Tottenham to be number one so I have to be at my best to help the team as much as possible.” Post navigation Southampton and West Ham Reportedly Pursue 16-Year-Old Twins Brentford vs. Nottingham Forest: Match Statistics and General Information
