An individual has been apprehended on suspicion of murder subsequent to police discovering a deceased man, following a report expressing concerns for his well-being. The 59-year-old man was located at a property on Astbury Avenue in Chorlton, Manchester, at approximately 23:35 GMT on Sunday, police reported. A 47-year-old man was taken into custody shortly thereafter. Greater Manchester Police indicated their belief that the deceased and the arrested individual were acquainted, and they are treating the incident as “isolated.” The force further stated that an additional crime scene was being established on nearby Woodlake Avenue in connection with the event. Det Ch Insp Mark Davis commented: “We are working hard to establish the full facts and circumstances, carefully working through all the detail and evidence available to us.“As we continue our work, I would ask anyone with any information that may assist the investigation to please get in touch with us.
