An individual has been taken into custody following an altercation at a pub that resulted in injuries to three people, among them a woman who sustained serious facial wounds inflicted by a glass. North Yorkshire Police responded to reports of a disturbance at the White Horse, located on North Street in Ripon, at approximately 23:15 GMT on Friday. Upon the arrival of law enforcement personnel, the individuals suspected of involvement had already departed; however, three injured persons were discovered. These included a man who had been punched and kicked, a woman who had been struck in the face, and another woman who suffered facial injuries. The police force stated that a 22-year-old man was subsequently apprehended on suspicion of wounding with intent and assault, and has since been released on conditional police bail. Anyone possessing information pertinent to the incident is urged to contact the police.
