An individual suspected of murder has been ordered to remain in custody following a fatal stabbing incident involving a man in Northampton. Clinton Obeng Oppong Antwi, aged 23, succumbed to his injuries at a hospital on Wednesday. This occurred shortly after emergency responders were dispatched to Flaxwell Court, Standens Barn, at 17:40 GMT on Wednesday, following reports of a serious assault. Junior Emmanuel Uwadia, 25, residing at Northfield Way, Northampton, presented himself before Northampton Crown Court. He was informed that he would be held in custody pending his trial, scheduled for 27 May next year. Separately, two other men, aged 22 and 23, who were arrested in relation to this case, have been granted bail while investigations continue. According to Northamptonshire Police, a post-mortem examination determined that the preliminary cause of Mr Antwi’s death was a single stab wound. The police further stated their continued interest in hearing from any witnesses who have not yet contacted them, or anyone possessing information, CCTV, doorbell, or dash-cam footage from the area at the time of the incident.
