Following Brighton’s elimination from the League Cup, head coach Fabian Hurzeler addressed reporters, stating: “It’s disappointing to be knocked out of the cup but we were not ruthless enough, and I think that was the difference.” Hurzeler further elaborated on the match, noting Liverpool’s opportune scoring: “Liverpool scored at the right moments. They scored out of nowhere with an unbelievable shot. They had the timing on their side today and we were not able to reply at the right moments.” He acknowledged both positive and negative aspects of his team’s performance, adding: “We had a lot of positive things but of course also negative things, otherwise you wouldn’t lose the match.” Hurzeler concluded by outlining the team’s next steps: “We have to analyse it, we have to give feedback and then we try to keep going.” Sandi Toksvig is joined by Gyles Brandreth, Lulu, Emmanuel Sonubi and Alan Davies Grab the mic for Queen, Taylor Swift, Bon Jovi, Katy Perry and more… Ben Fogle and Kate Humble are back for the festivities at Longleat Safari Park From micro plastics in our air, soil, and waterways, to the extent of food waste at this time of year © 2024 BBC.
