Kieffer Moore, the Sheffield United striker who joined the club from Bournemouth in the summer, has withdrawn from Wales’ Nations League games against Turkey and Iceland this month because of an injury. The 32-year-old sustained a calf strain six days ago during Sheffield United’s trip to Bristol City. He was subsequently not part of the matchday squad for Sunday’s Steel City derby victory. Before the game against Sheffield Wednesday, Moore told BBC Radio Sheffield that he was “taking each day as it comes” but was “hopeful” of recovering quickly. The Blades are currently joint leaders of the Championship, trailing Sunderland in the top spot only by goal difference. Chris Wilder’s team is next scheduled to play at Coventry City on 23 November, after the international break.
